NEWS: Plans and Punishment

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Zalikor, as usual, was commanding reports of progress and status from Careck and Snaadz. Careck, like a good little orc, responded accordingly, and gave a full report. Snaadz, ignored him, and in fact imagined Zalikor's vile face on the tree he was at the time, cutting down. Zalikor ignored Snaadz's silence, with only a chuckle and a grin in response. Shortly after that time, Careck went to Narg, seeking out orders fo the war machines that were to be built, after having recieved them, he went about his buisness of seeing the machines were built. Krazkull had found interest in the Engineer, Narg, and ordered him over. Narg obliged, and answered Krazkull's questions to his best ability, openly showing him blue prints and maps of the catapults and ballistas that were to be built.

Burguul as well found interest in Narg, and he joined the group of two. He was informed by Krazkull, without question, who Narg was, and what his job was. Narg did not regard Burguul, and so Burguul took it upon himself to be regarded by the uruk. Burguul demanded to know what the engineer's plans where, and was explained to him that there was to be catapults and ballistas built, to hurl balls of flame at the human threat. Burguul argued that fuel would be needed to keep this balls of flame alive, and Narg showed some ego, insisting he had already thought this out. Gabnor joined Burguul in saying that humans did not burn like, quote. "Deadwood." Narg then added, that treesap from the trees that were being cut, would be made into balls, and act as sticky fuel for the fire, keeping the flames alive, while at the same time, sticking the balls of fire to the humans they struck.

Narg was then told by Burguul the plan was acceptable, and Narg, was not pleased with how he was addressed. ( Maggot, dog, and snaga. ) Narg disrespected Burguul, by calling him a lowly logaz, among other insults. Burguul warned Narg, with a single balling of his fist. He informed Narg that should he continue to spout such foul words at Burguul, he would quickly lose the lungs that held the breath that filled those words.

Narg protested further, and Gabnor entered the scene. Narg was caught by the throat by Gabnor, and lifted off of his feet, Gabnor ahd words with the snaga, makeing sure the orc understood his fally. Narg agreed he was wrong, and he was released. Gabnor then ordered Burguul to whip the orc, and to make it an especially scarring experience. In compliance, Burguul took a studded whip and proceeded to lash it across the orc's back, while Krazkull and Careck watched in both glee and fear. After several lashes, Narg fell unconscious from pain alone, and Burguul halted, told by Gabnor that he had been whipped enough. Burguul returned to his wagon, satisfied by seeing the suffering of the uruk, and Gabnor, tended to his wargs.

Burguul orderd Careck over, inspired to give orders ater the initial punishment. Careck approached, and showed complete respect, after having witnessed the most horrific punishment given to Narg. Burguul ordered a report of human activity, and was disappointed to find Careck was ignorant of such things. Burguul, rather than punish the orc, commanded he speak to orcin scouts and camp guards often, to gain such knowladge. He then ordered Careck away, and back to his previous business, before he began a check of the guards himself.

After regular conversation between the uruks in camp ( Meaning the basic neandurthal chat. ) , Matlat showed his trollish face. His approach sent the Uruks in the camp into an uproar of fear and nervousness. Matlat made clear he wanted gold, and he wanted it immediatly. The uruks at first did not comply, and so Matlat warned he would take it if it was not given. Gold was then thrown from out of nowhere, and sprinkled onto the bridge, to satisfy Matlat's need. Matlat gathered each florin, warning every orc in his presence to stand clearof his new found money. They did so. The uruks, after seeing Matlat's wishes met, returned to whatever they were doing, still wary of the Olog.

Shortly after this, Zalikor gained knowledge from the other uruks in the camp that Narg had been beaten to his unconscious state under the order of Gabnor, and the whip of Burguul. He approached Burguul, infuriated, and demanded to know why this had happened. Burguul answered not-all-too calmly, and Zalikor was humbled. He explained that Narg was a key player in the survival of the uruk masses, and that Gog had ordered him not to be harmed under any circumstances. Burguul explained neither he or Gabnor understood this, as they were not informed. Burguul told Zalikor, that if he had known Gog did not wish Narg to be harmed, Narg would not have been harmed, but otherwise, he wasn't about to defy the Hai. Zalikor agreed, and began to explain it simply wasn't to happen again.

From then on, a power struggle began between Zalikor and Burguul. Careck, Krazkull, and any other uruks in the presence of these two watched intently, while attempting to look busy. Matlat laughed heartily, seeing the two spat. In the end, Burguul and Zalikor admitted the act was a logical one, if not a faulty one. At that point, Grazzt arrives, and the day of the 22nd, is over.
