Under the Eye

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Barad-dur

You stand before the great Western gate to Barad-dur. Its sheer size astounds you--the gate is large enough to allow the passing of entire armies of Orcs with plenty of room to spare. The wall it's set in is stone, seemingly vomited up from the great chasm to either side of you, and is crowned with great jutting stone precipes and manned with countless Orcs. The door towering before you seems to be made of ruby, and, impossible as it may seem, is engulfed in red flame. The word "NARYA" is engraved upon them--its meaning here isn't clear. To force the gates, you would have to not only break the huge stone door, but pass through a curtain of flame...something you're not sure you want to do. Flanking it on either side stands a monstrous stone sentinal, whose eyes glisten with an evil malice. You sense that these are the keys into the fortress, for no power in all of Middle Earth could possibly force these gates.

Sentinals

Obvious exits:
Iron Bridge leads to Iron Bridge.
East leads to Barad-dur.

Gothmog has arrived.

Skal_Nebuurk says, "give me a blade and I will cut, give me fire and I burn!"

Sha-Gruuk whacks Skal over the head "Hush, Snaga !"

Gothmog tightens his hold even tighter with each word Vrismag speaks, "Hush, Snaga! Or you will die in my hand. Hear me? Gar!" He growls, then looks back forward.

Vrismag hushes very quickly and justs hangs there, his head in Gothmog's titanic hand. Every now and then, he grimaces in pain...

Gothmog looks around and grunts. He gazes to the Uruk he holds in his hand, and forcefully throws him back to the ground, onto his back, freeing his hand. He looks away, back to Shagrat.

Shagrat raises his blade again, signalling the halt.

Krinter stops short of stomping on Shagrat's foot.

Ghamokh mirrors Shagrat's movement as the Uruks behind him stop after several steps.

Sha-Gruuk stops abrubtly, a snaga behind him bumping into him. He swears, but does nothing else.

Grimkhor stumbles and falls as he attempts to stop

Derg stops too, slithering in between other Orcs to the front of the large group.

Vrismag hits the floor hard with an exhale of breath, for a moment he is rolling around on the floor with the wind knocked out of him, but he soon gets up and joins the other uruks...

Niggurath halts with the croud, and looks around at his new surroundings

Skal_Nebuurk stops just barly infront of a spear facing the wrong way

Gruumsh has arrived.

Shagrat stands at attention at the head of the troops, waiting silently.

Gruumsh's dark figure steps out of the gates, watching the Sentinals quietly... he walks over to the uruks..

Niggurath turns to see gruums walk into the room, and goes back to looking at Gothmog

Krinter looks towards the arriving orcs as he scratches his chin.

Gothmog turns, from his stance near the Uruk group, and watches the group enter from the flank. He watches over, scratching at his arm again.

Gruumsh speaks in a loud menacing voice, echoing off the city walls, "LINE UP for inspection!"

Alec has arrived.

Sha-Gruuk sees the Ordainer, and swallows hard. He flicks his eyes to the sides to see if the Snaga are acting up. They aren't, and he turns his head back again.

Leesar looks out to the crowd no fear in his eyes

Shagrat turns in place to face the troops he had been leading. "At attention, uruks of the Eye!"

Niggurath hears the call of Gruumsh, and begins to get into a line with everyone else

Vrismag gets right in line shoving a smaller tribeless snaga out of the line...

Krinter blinks his eyes again and quickly gets into straight posture with the rest of the uruks, staring straight of him.

Ghamokh turns and thunders at his Uruks, "Stand at attention!!"'

Sha-Gruuk quickly finds his position within the ranks and snaps to attention.

Niggurath pushes, and shoves his way into the line, and stands at attention

Skal_Nebuurk compleatly freazes and look sat the ordainer

Padashaug moves to her palce in line, seeming even more degected ahving seen the prisoners.

Grimkhor slides between two others and pushes them to the side as he joins the line

Gruumsh stands silently, his dark figure gripping his staff with pale hands, his eye glaring at the uruks.

Gothmog grunts and begins to head forward toward Gruumsh. He walks completely up to him, to his side, and looks down at him. He grins faintly, and looks to the Lining uruk.

Derg stands as straight as can, but still bends over a little.

Ghamokh turns back and stands at stiff attention as the Pulgoburzob uruks shuffle into lines, standing shoulder to shoulder and many ranks deep.

Gruumsh looks up to Gothmog, gazing intently upon him..

Gothmog leans over slightly, his hand sitting on Gruumsh's head for support. He looks over the crowd, not noticing any disruption he's causing to Gruumsh.

Grakhut does not heed the words, knowing he is in fact lined up already. Looking back at the crowd, he sighs in a passive, slightly discontented way, and simply awaits for those uruks being commanded to do what they have been told to do

Alec looks at the many orcs with curiousity, confusion and fear, all mixed up.

Shagrat stands silently, holding his scimitar in a tense hand, staring out over the troops, memorizing the face and eyes of any who dare to disturb the ordered silence.

Gruumsh mumbles with annoyance, but looks out silently..

Leesar moves his gaze about the crowd, staring into them. He sets his gaze on the human for a few seconds then rests it on the Shaman Grakhut and nods slightly to him

Ghamokh greets any movement in the ranks with a steely glare. The movements promptly cease.

Grakhut turns to look at the Ordainer, he smiles slightly at the comical apearance of what lies before him looking now to Logaz Leesar, he nods with spartan gesture, and grins a little.

Gruumsh yells out.. "Silence in the ranks!!"

The orcs stand at quiet attention, in two long lines before the vast bridge and the great western gate. Shagrat stares out over the line of orcs of Minas Morgul and Barad-dur, and Ghamokh watches those of Dol Guldur and Sarn Goriwing.

Grakhut turns back and faces toward the crowd.

Gruumsh steps to the side, motioning the prisoners, and for Gothmog, to follow him to stand beside the gates..

Gothmog looks down at Gruumsh, his moving mantle, and grumbles. He stands straight, crossing his arms at his chest, staying at his same location.

Gruumsh mumbles.. and motions for Gothmog to bend down so he can whisper something..

Grakhut falls into line behind the Petreog and Leesar, and stands with the Ordainer.

Niggurath remains standing at attention, and awaiting any further commands.

Hashnak walks in the back of the lines of Uruks, glancing at everyone about him with a thoughtful look. His hand rests on the hilt of his sword, tapping the belt where it hangs.

Gothmog looks down and arches an eyelid. He reaches down, lifting Gruumsh off the ground by his shoulder, then stuffs his ear to his mouth. "Speak."

Gruumsh +whispers to Gothmog, "HE ... ... ... ... stand ..."

Skal_Nebuurk stares mind wondering what is going to become of then

Gothmog's eyes open wide, then drops Gruumsh to the ground. He crosses his arms again, and clears his throat, looking back to the crowd.

Grakhut grins slightly.

Gruumsh falls upon the ground.. "Oof!"

Like shadows, dark cloaked humans file across the bridge and kn and kneel before the yawning gate.

Gruumsh mumbles, and gathers himself..

Gruumsh steps to the sides of the gates..

Akhorahil has arrived.

Gruumsh prepares himself, gripping his staff..

Krinter peers towards the humans with intrest but quickly goes back to staring ahead of him.

Akhorahil appears not very far from the Uruks ...

Niggurath looks around once again, and looks at Gruumsh, and awaits his orders

You see a piercing stab of red coming from atop the tower, as Sauron's gaze falls upon you all...

Sha-Gruuk swallows hard as one of the Nazgul enter. He shivers slightly.

Gruumsh falls to his knees, his dark cloaks bending down in a quick motion.. he puts his staff by his side..

A chant, like the moaning of the wind through the deadsolate crags of the Black Land, is sent up by the humans who kneel before the gate. They bow their heads in reverence.

Akhorahil raises his hands toward the sky and shriekssss..

Gothmog looks down at Gruumsh and chuckles throatily. He suddenly feels a chill and looks to the Nazgul. He swallows, but his eyes remain the same. showing some fear, but not all. He backs up faintly.

Akhorahil looks to the sky and lets loose a long and shrill scream.

A shrill and high-pitched wail, full of despair and evil, echoes over the area.

Skal_Nebuurk jaw drops seeing agastly figure appear

Vrismag feels the presence upon him, and shudders, looking in its direction, he sees the Nazgul and drops to the ground bowing.

Krinter suddenly trembles to the ground, bowing as close to the floor as possible.

Leesar falls quickly to his knees ar rhe sieght of all the power enentering the

Padashaug sees the human, and knows them for what theyt are, cowering bespite herself for a moment, then gathering herself again.

Derg falls to the ground, hissing and spitting as he grows scared.

Niggurath looks at the arival of the Nazgul, and quivers with fear

Sha-Gruuk drops to his knees as the red glare sweeps over them.

Skal_Nebuurk drops as the rest do

Shagrat lowers his blade suddenly, sweeping it down in a single motion as he bows with the host before Akhorahil.

Ortugg gasps and falls to the ground, bowing to the Nazgul.

Grakhut stands dejectedly by the Ordainer and the other prisoner, Leesar, and feels a cold chilling thought come through him, and he moans slightly, falling under the gaze of the Nazgul and the Eye. Slumping to the ground, he manages to keep himself on hi knees.

Alec falls to his knees, head bent and eyes locked to the ground.

Akhorahil finishes his shriek and looks around, hissing with his cold voice..'On your knees!!!! The LORD ISSS COMING!!!

Grimkhor shudders and seeming collapses to the ground bowing before the nazgul.

Niggurath hears the command of the Nazgul, and quickly falls to his knees.

Gothmog's eyes finally widen as he hears the hisses of the wraith, and slowly falls to his knees, the ground shaking around the packs of Uruk as he does so.

Padashaug falls to her knees, hed bowed to her chest.

Skal_Nebuurk wodersthe lord?

Sha-Gruuk lowers his head in his kneeling posistion, but glances up now and then.

Akhorahil wields fastly his mace and swings around himself, his jeweled eyes gleaming redly

Ghamokh bows low with his blade before the nazgul, dropping to his knees.

Akhorahil hisses loudly...'Pray for your livessss, sslaves....

Skal_Nebuurk mudders words of sprringness hopeing to lives another day

Hashnak drops on his knees and bends down, hands before his head.

Vrismag stays very still hoping that he passes unnoticed by the Dark One!

Akhorahil starts to sing something in dark language ...looks like some spell..'Oghr shumgresh...

Derg wraps his arms around his bald head, covering his ears not wanting to hear the wraith's voice.

Alec mutters an old prayer in Haradaic...

Krinter trembles like an earthquake as he stares at the ground, and very well could be kissing it. His head stays concealed under his hood, the BUrzum-Prakh uniform.

Akhorahil suddenly FALLS on his knees, and shouts loudly...'COME MASSTER!!

Leesar looks out of the corner of his eye for second catching the gaze of GRakhut. Then it is moved to the gate waiting for the masster

Grakhut does not even dare to look up, while being watched so closely by those so great..

Akhorahil lowers his head and waits in a great silence for the come of his master

The clouds fill the sky and moon hides....Nearly absolute darkness is around..

Padashaug starts to mutter in the dark tongue aw well, her awe and fear drawing her into worship. In the highest window of the Tower something starts to shine...

Hashnak shakes on the ground, his hands trying to clutch the bare floor, he mutters something in a hiss to himself.

Sauron has arrived.

Wensday has arrived.

Gruumsh shivers with fear and the blazing heat..

Sauron looks around, his flaming bulk flickering with hell-sent flames.

Akhorahil suddenly turns around and bows low, hissing..'Welcome my MAsster!

Sauron is upon you.

Krinter closes his eyes as he sweats intensly, his head against the ground.

Derg trembles and small beads of sweat drip down his hideous scarred face.

The wargs whimper and appear ready to bolt at the presence of the Dark Lord.

Shagrat shudders and snarls to himself, his head bowed down as if under a terrible weight.

Sha-Gruuk flinches back as the Drak Lord appears, he seems to be wanting to be somewhere else, but stares openmouthed at his Master.

Sauron turns to Akhorahil. "Who commands these troops?"

Skal_Nebuurk mubles word of hopefullness

Akhorahil stands and looks around, finding the right person..

Vrismag dares to peek a look at the Dark One...

Niggurath remains bowed, and trembles at every motion of Lord Sauron

Grakhut quivers with terror at the thought of the eye upon him..

Leesar doesn't raise his head at all. His jaw set hars he stares to the stone street

Wensday slithers up behind her master and looks utterly satisfied.

Akhorahil now finds a person in the crowd and points at him..'There Massster...

Sauron's gaze passes over the crowd, bathing everyone in a painful, red light.

Akhorahil points at two huge Uruk-hai's...(Ghamokh and Shagrat)

Sha-Gruuk closes his eyes, grimacing, but a lingering image seems to be hanging onto the insides of his eyelids...

Gothmog looks up slightly, then looks back down. He stays apon his knees, "Master."

Ortugg's muscles tense up, as the dark presence accumulates. He presses his bald head into the dirt, trying to stay inconspicuous.

Sauron's stare locks onto the two Uruk-hai. "Before me. Now."

Padashaug trembles, half in fear, hald in ectasy as her master's gaze falls on her for a fraction of a moment.

Akhorahil hisses toward Gham and Shaggy...'You heard ssslavess...QUICKL!Y

Sha-Gruuk cowers and presses his body to the ground, not daring to look any longer upon the Eye.

Hashnak shakes, burying his head under his arms and muttering something uncomprehensible, he lets out a faint shriek and bites his lower lip to blood.

Krinter breathes like a rabbit, adrenaline pumping through his veins like a river.

Sauron fumes, as even snaga should be capable of moving faster than this.

Shagrat forces himself to his feet, grimacing and staring forward. He moves toward the Dark One slowly, reluctantly, but seeming under power other than his own.

Ghamokh stands quickly and shuffles to a position before Sauron, where he quickly drops to his knees.

Sha-Gruuk 's hands clench and unclench as he mutters somthing to himself under his breath.... Niggurath trembles heavily as he hears the words, and motions of Sauron

The pace of the human's chanting increases, its pitch inceases with a hurried excitement.

Akhorahil hisses to Ghamokh and Shag when they are coming closer to him...'If your troops are enough prepared, I will want your headsss!!

Gruumsh grips his staff that burns hot in his hand..

Gothmog looks over to the two Hai, studying them as Sauron speaks. His fear overcome of him, though the reassurance of his position towards Sauron eases him.

Ghamokh's body quivers in expectation.

Sauron moves close to Shagrat, the flames of his bulk dancing slightly against Shagrat's armour.

Akhorahil turns to his master and hisses..'Here they are, Masster!

Sauron says not a word, and shifts over to Ghamokh.

Akhorahil watches Sauron and two Hai's with attention..

Shagrat shudders and waits, tense, grimacing but standing as straight as his stooped form will allow.

The tension is mounting in the air around the wargs. The only thing that keeps them from darting away is fear.

Sauron shifts backwards, and his glow subsides. "The two of you...you command these warriors?"

Shagrat manages a crisp nod.

Akhorahil says not a word, just watching the scene before him

Ghamokh stands slowly next to Shagrat, nodding immediately at Sauron's words.

Tendrils of flame lick the ground beneath the great Maia, scorching the ground to a char-black.

Sauron says, "And you feel they are prepared to battle any enemies in Middle-earth??"

Ghamokh nods again, this time with greater vigor.

Niggurath, still with his head firmly pressed against the ground, begins to sweat a little, and remains to quiver, at the scene before him.

Vrismag trembles again, his whole body appears to be quivering as though the ground was shaking...

Skal_Nebuurk jaw is sore from all of his praying so he just thinks it

Sauron chuckles softly, a hollow sound reminiscent of the grinding of great stones. "You had best hope so, or this will surely be a demonstration of the price of failure..."

Shagrat nods again, staring forward, his attention consumed.

Grimkhor lays deathly still.

Sauron says, "Shagrat, rise. Present your warriors to me, one at a time, so that I might judge them worthy. Ghamokh, when he finishes, I wish you to do the same."

Rows upon rows of Uruk lie before the Dark Lord, their heads lowered to the ground, some shaking with fright, others as still as if they were already dead.

Ortugg closes his eyes in an attempt to relieve some of his fear-induced stress. He takes a deep breath, sucking up a good deal of dirt and almost lets out a sneeze.

Akhorahil looks from time to time at the orcs

Grakhut does not move from his bowing position.

Krinter shivers as this is said, his jaw opening and closing rapidly.

Shagrat nods, grunting "Aye, Dark One." He turns, casting a baleful glare across the troops of Minas Morgul and Barad-dur.

Skal_Nebuurk hers the words and rises filled with fear and anritiapation to meet the one!

Gothmog stands slowly during the conversation, and slowly yet casually walks to about 8 feet at Sauron's side, crossing his arms at his chest and watching over the crowd.

Derg remains motionless on the hard ground, staying balled up in fear.

Shagrat speaks almost softly, in a dirge-tone. "Tek'rak Krinter of Lugburzob! Come forward and be judged."

Skal_Nebuurk stands slow and stiff

Sha-Gruuk 's teeth clench as the Eye's words are heard. Even though meeting the Master himself sounds like an honour, right now he'd prefer to be somewhere else.

Wensday glances coldly at the troops who could not possibly be worthy to serve her Master.

Akhorahil looks at creature who came closer to Sauron (Gothy), but says nothing

Skal_Nebuurk not a musle twitch ing on his hole body

Sauron ignores Gothmog, and focuses his attentions on the one before him.

Krinter quickly stands, his head still bowed low with a great weight. He walks forward in his hunched form as quickly as he can in this presence, shivering a bit as well. He stops about 1 foot away from Shagrat, his head staring at his toes.

Niggurath watches as Gothmog stads up, and then glances with fear as he sees skal foolishly stand too.

Gruumsh stands, gripping his staff as he watches those that come before the Dark Lord.. he keeps his distance at the side of the gate, watching intently with his one red eye..

Sauron glares. "By what name are you known, Snaga?"

Akhorahil stands quietly next to the Sauron, still having his mace in his right hand

Krinter manages to utter out, loud enough for one to hear, "Krinter... m-mmaster."

Sauron says, "And do you not feel that I am worthy of an introduction when you stand before me?!?!?!!?"

Sauron says, "Or do you think that you are so great that you deserve ME to inquire this information of YOU?"

A tendril of flame leaps from Sauron's side and strikes Krinter at the cheek!

Sauron says, "REMEMBER YOUR PLACE, SNAGA!"

Akhorahil's jeweled eyes changes its color, but nazgul stays silent

Krinter trembles in fear, keeping his eyes locked on the ground. "Ofcourse Master!" he lets out, and almost lets a yelp as his cheek is scorched.

Sauron's gaze leaves Krinter. "Who is next?"

Shagrat turns with an even more deadly and fearful glance at the ranks, signaling orcs almost randomly. "Dog Sha-Gruuk, come forward."

Krinter continues to shiver as he he keeps his figure low in fear and respect.

Sha-Gruuk stands up, his body quivering. Looking like a beaten puppy he approaches the dread Lord, the red flames lighting his armour in eerie red hues. As his trembling feet carries him into his Master's presence, he raises his head and looks upon the Eye. He stammers "I... I am Sha-Gruuk, Dog u Zaghbuurz o Dushgob, M...Master."

Derg lets out a deep breath and obtains enough courage to look up and sees the slave, Sha-Gruuk.

Sauron's red glow subsides for a moment, as he chuckles. "Ah...you see, Nazgul? Even worms can be taught to talk."

Shagrat stares ahead.

Sha-Gruuk swallows hard where he stands.

Sauron focuses his gaze upon Sha-Gruuk.

Akhorahil nods slowly and hisses..'That isss very rare, Masster

Sha-Gruuk shrinks as the Eye's rays bask upon him, his knees trembling even worse.

Sauron says, "An interesting adornment upon your face, Snaga. Do those rings help you in battle?"

Akhorahil makes a small step and concentrates his attention at the prisoners

Grakhut keeps his head low, but feels the prescense of a the Nazgul coming closer..

Sha-Gruuk looks startled... He starts to speak, but his voice falters. Swallowing hard, he tries again..." No.... They d-don't, really...." His voice cracks slightly and trails off.

Sauron says, "NO?? Ahhh...then tell me, why do you wear them?"

Akhorahil hisses toward Sauron..'You hear Massster...They are nothign elssse than a piece of living flesssh...they not able to ssspeak normally!

Leesar remains in his bow not looking anywhere but to the ground

Shagrat stares ahead quietly during the interrogation, waiting for the rest to be ordered forward.

Sauron nods towards Akhorahil. "Ah, but we must be patient with these of lesser mind. Sha-Gruuk, loosen thine tongue, or I will loose it for thee..."
